Our rituals at the beach-Dad's beignets, French Toast at Don Pedro's, Nick's on the Bay, Evening sunsets, S'mores every night, Mexican train dominoes, bike rides to the market, checking to see if the wash-out is open, reading a good mystery, Shaved ice from Frosty Bites, sticky rice and Won-ton soup from Royal Orchid, swinging on the front porch, going to the library, listening to great music LOUD, rain on the tin roof, laughing until we're crying, Savannah on the top bunk
Dear Book Loving Mom, I just got a Google Alert you all were reading my book, "The Pulpwood Queens' Tiara Wearing, Book Sharing Guide to Life" this December! Well, Merry Christmas to me and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My book, the story of my life in books, and how they saved me, has become like the little engine that could, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..." Released in January it keeps gaining momentum so to celebrate, I would love to call you all at your next meeting! Just tell let me know when and I'll even send you all signed bookplates! Now also because you state TRAVELS OF A BOOK LOVING MOM, you might want to road trip to my hometown of Jefferson, Texas for our annual convention which we call GIRLFRIEND WEEKEND, January 15 - 17, 2009.
