Don't Get on the Ladder!

Okay, this note is for my 73 years of age Dad and for all to see so you can get him too....

DAD! STOP GETTING ON THE ROOF TO BLOW THE LEAVES OFF!!

LET TODD DO IT!

We love you too much!

(Les and I blame it on that stubborn Hallford gene)

p.s. ...and someone will be WATCHING when mom is at the beauty shop!

Dear Book Loving Mom,
I just got a Google Alert you all were reading my book, "The Pulpwood Queens' Tiara Wearing, Book Sharing Guide to Life" this December! Well, Merry Christmas to me and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My book, the story of my life in books, and how they saved me, has become like the little engine that could, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..." Released in January it keeps gaining momentum so to celebrate, I would love to call you all at your next meeting! Just tell let me know when and I'll even send you all signed bookplates!
Now also because you state TRAVELS OF A BOOK LOVING MOM, you might want to road trip to my hometown of Jefferson, Texas for our annual convention which we call GIRLFRIEND WEEKEND, January 15 - 17, 2009. Check it out at www.beautyandthebook.com and email me at kathy@beautyandthebook.com so we can talk!

P.S. Your dad on the roof, my husband, who on the first day we bought our home fell off the roof examining it's condition. He said the woodpile below broke his fall. I call him Calamity Jay!

Pulpwood Queen? Woohoo! I bet you smell good!

Yeah get Todd to do it. It won't matter if I fall off the roof will it?
